The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley was issued its official charter by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 1998.
What is your primary product or service?
Youth development and guidance.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The unique nature of the Boys & Girls Club is captured by the following: o Dedicated Youth Facility The Boys & Girls Club is a place -- an actual neighborhood-based building -- designed solely for youth programs and activities. o Open Daily The Boys & Girls Club is open every weekday, when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets. o Professional Staff Every Boys & Girls Club has trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support. o Available/Affordable to All Youth Boys & Girls Clubs reach out to kids who cannot afford, or may lack access to, other community programs. Dues are low at $15 per year, which can be replaced by two hours of community service upon request. In addition, the Club... o Builds Character The Club guides boys & girls who may be in danger of acquiring or who already have unacceptable habits and attitudes, as well as guiding boys & girls of good character. o Has a Varied and Diversified Program The Club recognizes and responds to the collective and individual needs of young people, offering programs and services in five core areas: Health and Life Skills, Character and Leadership Development, The Arts, Education and Career Development and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. o Is Guidance-Oriented The Club emphasizes positive values in the relationships members have with each other and their adult leaders. We have 7 locations, 6 of which are school-based and 1 main facility near downtown Appleton. A major expansion of our downtown Appleton facility is in the works.
Which areas do you service?
Our primary service area includes all of Outagamie and Calumet Counties and the northern 1/2 of Winnebago County.
What are your hours of operation?
Office hours are 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. M-F. Program hours vary by location and by program.
