Residential remodeling, and custom home building.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
'Always had an interest in construction, ... the whole process is fascinating! Associate degrees in Architectural and Industrial Model-building, Heating and Air Conditioning Design. Co-owned a company which sold and installed hot water solar systems and EIFS systems. Certified Green Professional with National Home Builders Assn. 10 years of Real estate sales, 3 years of HVAC sales and then became a partner in a home building firm until the retirement of my partner.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Part of my job as a general contractor is to empower all of the subcontractors who work for me to do the best job they can do. They are, for the most part, self employed ...as am I. They are highly motivated to do quality work, as their continued business depends on it. I communicate very closely with them, and respect their input on quality issues. I encourage the trades to communicate with each other. Construction schedules and detail drawings are posted at the job site, so every one is on the same page and knows what the trade who follows after him will need to achieve. Communication is also key to the relationship I have with my clients. I have a great deal of pride in what we build, as well as the relationship with the client. The only way I can achieve these goals, is to listen to what my clients have to say, and use my skills and knowledge to turn their dreams into reality.

Most of our jobs are larger jobs which require some financing. We work with several lenders and have a preferred title company as well.
